The Important Distinction

One Promise, Clearly Defined

A workmanship warranty and a product warranty protect different things. Knowing the difference makes each promise more useful.

Workmanship Protection

Lifetime Workmanship Warranty

If Coastal’s installation or workmanship causes an issue, we correct it at no labor cost to the original customer.

Parts And Device Protection

1-Year Parts & Device Warranty

Parts and devices supplied and installed by Coastal receive their own one-year warranty. Manufacturer coverage can continue after that based on the manufacturer’s terms.

What “Lifetime” Means Here

“Lifetime” refers to the lifetime of the electrical installation performed by Coastal Comfort Electric for the original customer at the original property.

It is a promise about the quality of our workmanship. It is not a lifetime warranty on equipment, fixtures, breakers, devices, appliances, or materials.

The straightforward version: if our workmanship caused the problem, we take responsibility and correct it.

A Promise You Can Understand

What Falls Outside Workmanship Coverage?

The warranty stands behind our installation. Product failures and events outside our work are handled separately.

Product Or Material Failure

Normal wear, age, or a manufacturer defect in equipment, fixtures, breakers, devices, appliances, or other materials.

Damage Outside Our Control

Misuse, improper maintenance, power surges, utility issues, lightning, water, fire, flooding, pests, or acts of nature.

Changes By Others

Work that another contractor or third party altered, repaired, modified, or damaged after Coastal’s installation.

Customer-Supplied Materials

Product or material failures involving equipment, fixtures, devices, or materials supplied by the customer.
