Coastal Comfort Electric is proud to support the 2026 Liam Strong Charity Beach Run. On Sunday, September 20, our community will gather at Johnnie Mercers Pier in Wrightsville Beach for a meaningful morning of remembrance, encouragement, and support.

Whether you want to take on the Beach 5K, join the Beach Fun Run, cheer from the shore, or support the cause from home, we hope you will be part of it.

Why This Run Matters

The Liam Strong Charity Beach Run was created to honor Liam Fredric Batten. According to his family, Liam was born in Wilmington in 2014 and, after a short but courageous fight with a rare childhood brain cancer, passed away at six months old.

His family created this event to preserve Liam’s legacy and give back to the team at UNC Children’s who cared for him during his final months. It is a deeply personal reason for a community event, and one that brings families, friends, neighbors, runners, and volunteers together each year.

Event Details

The Beach 5K begins at 9:05 a.m. EDT, followed by the Beach Fun Run at 9:15 a.m. EDT. The official event page has the current registration details, pricing, and any event-day updates.

How To Take Part

There are two simple ways to support the Liam Strong Charity Beach Run:

  1. Visit the official Liam Strong Charity Beach Run website to register for the Beach 5K or Beach Fun Run. Choose your event, then sign in to or create a RunSignup account to complete registration.
  2. Donate through the official Liam Strong Charity Beach Run donation page. If you cannot make race day, a donation is another way to stand with Liam’s family and the cause they support.

A Community Showing Up Strong

At Coastal Comfort Electric, we are grateful to serve families and businesses across the Cape Fear region. Supporting the Liam Strong Charity Beach Run is one way we can show up for our neighbors beyond the work we do every day.
